The Best Beaches in the world?
The most beautiful, inspirational & unspoilt beaches around the world...
I'm a sucker for beaches, my favourites being the more unspoilt, remote and secluded beaches. I'm particulary drawn to those with white sands and crystal clear turquoise waters and even better for me if these beaches are surrounded by towering cliffs covered in lush green foliage and forests - not sure why - maybe partly because, while I'm lucky to live on the coast (North-East England), the sea there is far from turquoise and warm haha.
So this blog post is just an attempt to do a bit of virtual travelling from my desk and try and seek out the best beaches in the world, and also in the process compile some sort of bucket list of beaches to visit! I know it would be a tall order to visit them all, but I've been lucky to have visited a few of them so far, and fingers crossed I get to visit a few more!

Seychelles Beaches:The Seychelles Beaches are often highly ranked in any list of the best beaches in the world. With the uniquely weathered granite rock faces, white sands, palm trees and turquoise waters - it's hard to find a more picture perfect beach than those at Anse Source d'Argent on the island of La Digue. For me personally, I guess the beaches at the Seychelles are the ones I am drawn to the most, as they are amongst the most unique in the world due to the granite rock formations.

Maldives Beaches:The Maldives is another place which feature highly in a list of the world's best beaches. The maldives are spread over roughly 90,000 square kilometres in the Indian Ocean, and are made up of 1,192 coral islands. Many are inhabited - and there are also many which are not. If you are looking for a secluded beach, with crystal clear waters and white sand, with only you on the island - this is the place to head, and you might even have an island to yourself!

author of this blog, me, Stuart Hodgson, is from (I live on the North-East Coast). England's coastline is steeped in character and history, and has an appeal all of it's own. (But it takes a brave person, or a rare summer heatwave to actually enter the North Sea where I live!)
